Title:
A
Human Perspective to Managing IT Projects through Effective
Communication
Abstract: As
a part of successful project management, the effects and
importance of human factors must be of prime concern to the project
manager and
thus an understanding must be formed of the aspects of human behaviour
in a
project team. It would seem that
‘change’ is a force, a process and an outcome that takes place in a
continuum
that can involve many participants and entities. In the case of
projects and
their effective management, perhaps the greatest variable is the human
one. If
change in a system, including the progressive activities of a project
and its
members, is to be embraced, then a greater awareness and understanding
of the
human factor needs to be developed. An understanding of human factors
will
allow the project manager, for instance, to lead a more effective team
in order
to achieve the objectives of the project.
