Title: An Object-Oriented Framework
to Support Plan Generation, Validation, and Execution for Complex Dynamic
Systems
Abstract: This paper
presents an object-oriented framework to support plan generation, validation
and execution for complex dynamic systems. The framework adopts a modified
version of Rumbaugh's Object Modeling Technique enhanced with planning tools.
Unlike task-based models, this framework is complete and captures such features
of complex systems as their hierarchical structure, system evolution, multilevel
functions, and data transition. The paper suggests how the new modeling framework
better supports advanced plan generation for complex systems characterized
by hierarchical and distributed planning requirements.
