Title: Towards a Hierarchy of the Objectives
in Supply Chain Management Programs
Abstract: After an exploration of the Supply Chain
Management (SCM) concept, which embraced the definition "the system of enterprises
interlaced by the flows of information and materials that cross them and
integrated by the means of combined planning of the activities and the synchronization
of the job flows in order to obtain value creation, competitive advantage,
satisfaction of the customer", the present paper proposes, moving from a
review of the strategic and tactical benefits of SCM, a possible hierarchy
of the benefits of the SCM programs carried out explicitly to avoid possible
duplications.
