Title: Quality Management @ Virtual Organizations
Abstract: One of
the major challenges that the future world facing is virtuality. Virtual
organizations, virtual teams and many other aspects of virtuality are widely
spreading. Virtual organizations are particularly poised to play a
prominent role in the future of the world. From another point of view quality
in general and total quality management in particular, seems will be still
predominantly play a significant role in the future of business and industrial
world. In order to analyze quality management in a virtual environment, the
EFQM model has been chosen as one of the practical models for total quality
management. The aim of this paper is to investigate what would be the prospective
of quality management in a virtual world. The paper not only demonstrates
the importance of virtual organizations, but also provides usefulness insights
into the EFQM model in a virtual environment. The results clearly indicate
that quality management will be strongly as a vital requirement in virtual
organizations. However, with regard to the EFQM model the paper suggests
that the model should be partly changed based on the nature of virtuality.
