Balanced Scorecard: Translate Strategy Into Action
Abstract:This
paper illustrate the implementation of Balanced Scorecard (BSC)
in
Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia (UTHM). The development of UTHM
strategic
performance measurement and management started when the university
introduce
BSC in September 2004. UTHM on the move to be world class university by
2013.
Therefore the development components to acieheve world class university
must
be integrate with the university strategic planning. By using balanced
measures
at the organizational level, and by sharing the results with the
university,
management are providing the information needed to align employee
performance
plans with organizational goals. At the same time, by balancing the
measures
used in employee performance plans, the performance picture becomes
complete.
