How has Internet Moderated the Role of Various Stakeholders in Service
Management Decisions?
Abstract: This paper examines the role of Internet in moderating
the relative importance of stakeholders in service management decisions.
For this purpose a review of key stakeholders (customers, suppliers, distributors,
stockholders, managers, and employees) and how stakeholders are classified,
is carried out. Then, how these stakeholders influence service management
decisions is examined. Lastly, the actions taken by specific firms
are examined and suggestions are made as to how stakeholders might have influenced
those actions
