Title:
A Perspective for Delivering Mobile Business Related Courses at the
University Level
Abstract: Mobile (M) business is defined as the conduct of
business transactions across public telecommunications infrastructures. It
is expected to serve many of our everyday life aspects by providing us with
a considerable number of services developed within a number of platforms
such as BREW, Macromedia Flash Lite, J2ME, and Symbian. Given the developments
in the mobile application industry in various parts of the world, in what
ways the industrial experience can be turned into an academic process that
delivers to candidates wishing to acquire advanced skills in this very novel
and promising field? This short paper presents a thorough investigation
of selected ICT academic curricula in order to set out proposals for creating
cadres adept at m – business development through effective education and
training.
