Title: An Investigation of the Value of
e-Business Adoption: The Case of Selected Firms in Kenya
Abstract: E-business has changed the business game, threatening the
existence, not only of firms, but also of whole industries. But,
perhaps due to the speed of change, there appears to be little
strategic guidance available to business managers to help them navigate
through the uncharted waters of the new domain of business. There seems
to be especially little work on how fimrs in developing countries can
extract actual value from engaging in e-busines. Therefore, this study
investigated the applicability of an existing conceptual model of the
e-business value of to assess its applicability in Kenya. The results
obtained from the analysis indicate to a large extent that the model of
e-business value applies in Kenya.
