Abstract: A
Successful
implementation of Supply chain management system is a challenging
domain.
Synchronize its information and material flows is still an issue that
has
not been fully resolved. This paper investigates research areas in this
field
to emphasize the current gaps. As conclusions, the paper proposed a
main
research direction in modeling specially the adoption of simulation-
based
tools and environment to effectively handle the current
obstacles
and drawbacks.
