Abstract: This
paper
presents an e-Government Framework that allows cooperation among
applications
belonging to different Government Agencies in order to supply new added
value
services (event of life services) tailored to citizens and business
needs.
Moreover, it promotes an internal process reengineering made by
integrating
governmental legacy applications. This cooperative framework is based
on
the Enterprise Service Bus model and Web Services technology. In the
paper
we describe the architecture of the prototypical framework and a case
study
of a single desk for businesses. In the end we present some relevant
conclusions
about the opportunity of implementing such a framework by governmental
agencies.
