The Strategic Choices Of Electronic Marketplace Functionalities?
Abstract: We can
assume that for several years, online business to business relations play
a central role in the way firms organise their business and their relations
network. The main issue is the emergence of new intermediaries, which reorganise
business and management process in the whole value chain. Electronic marketplaces
are gradually transforming the organizational structure between the firms
but they have been dramatically affected by a major recession with the collapse
of the “New Economy”. This article focuses on their impact on the industries
and provides a conceptual framework that aims to show how they are affecting
the business and coordination process with the automotive industry as example.
