Title: Trust In
Mobile Context Aware Systems
Abstract: In pervasive
computing wireless devices moving from one place to another are exposed to
different application service providers (ASP). Those ASP’s can violate privacy
issues by collecting personal information from the device or harm other security
issues by offering hostile code. It is therefore essential to know in advance
whether the ASP is trusted or not before granting him access rights. Moreover,
trust is a prerequisite for enabling security services like authentication,
digital signatures and non-repudiation between a wireless device and any
other interacting computing entity. This paper explores the possibilities
to deal with trust in pervasive computing and proposes a context aware trust
model to assess the trustworthiness of ASPs
