Title: Contributions
and Limitations of UML Models for Task Modelling in a Complex Organizational
Context: a Case Study in the Healthcare Domain
Abstract: The task analysis
and modelling domain is very rich in concepts, models, methods and tools.
This paper focuses on the contributions and limitations of UML models for
task modelling in complex organizational contexts, in which certain situations
can be critical for human beings. Our case study is in the healthcare domain,
specifically the medication ordering and administration process. Designing
new information or cooperative systems allows new organizational problems
to be considered. In this paper, we explain how we have used several UML
models to describe certain aspects of the organization and show the advantages
and limitations of UML modelling.
