Title: Using
Cluster Analysis in Classification of Categories: Evidence from the Holly
Qur’an
Abstract: There has
been a lot of research interest in last decade in the area of data mining
as a mechanism of classification and prediction. This research utilizes cluster
analysis as one of the data mining techniques that has been used extensively
in classification and prediction. The technique was applied to a sample data
set (Qur’an corpus) to classify its chapters into two clusters (Makkeya and
Madaniya). Results showed that the clustering technique successfully recognised
members of the two groups
