Title: A
Holistic Framework And Methodology Beyond The Traditional Approaches Of The
E-Business Research Practice
Abstract: In
spite of the interest caused by E-business, there have been no studies, neither
theoretical nor empirical, making it possible to apprehend this research object
suitably as we perceive it. This paper contributes to mitigating this deficiency.
It adopts a distinctive manner to apprehend Information and Communication
Technology, the strategy and the company organization. Using on the one hand,
(1) professional experience, (2) computer science skills, and (3) academic
background, and on the other hand, a process of going back and forth between
the theory and the practice, we have formulated a holistic framework beyond
the traditional approaches of the E-business research practice to help answer
to the two most important questions: (1) what is E-business? and, (2) which
research methodology should be retained for it?
